Why rent receipts matter to both sides
Tenants need receipts for housing benefit claims, tax returns, and reference checks. Landlords need a record for their own accounts and for any dispute about arrears. A dated receipt naming the property and the period covered serves both, and in some places the landlord must provide one on request.
Using the pad
Print on two-part carbonless paper so the tenant gets the top copy and you keep the second. Write the rental period precisely, for example 1 to 31 March, and note any balance carried forward. Number the receipts so the sequence shows nothing is missing.

- Cut along the dashed lines or leave the page whole and tear off as needed.
- Write the period, not just the month, when rent is paid weekly.
- Keep the second copies in a folder per property.
